Tom Revealed
Tom is one of Jenny's boyfriends. He originally started out as
a black guy with dreadlocks. Here's what he used to look like.He has a
dangly hoop earring in his left ear.
OLD TOM 1992
This Tom came in an interesting box that had a picture of him getting
ready to fight with Jeff with Jenny looking on in the background. I'll
try and add a picture of the box to this page eventually.
Then Totoco came out with a special edition Tom 1997 dressed in
a suit with long hair...this time he was caucasian. When I asked them why
the change they said that the names of the dolls are determined by the
eyes and that this doll had the Tom eyes so he was Tom no matter what the
skin color. This isn't a very good picture but it is all that I have at
the moment...I'll try and get a better one for this page.
1997 Totoco Special Edition Toms
Currently there is a Chinese Tom being sold as a Totoco special
edition. It just came out in March 1998. He has long black hair down
to his knees. In the box he is wearing a black and silver Chinese outfit.
If you buy one of these, look them over carefully. Some of the outfits
don't have much of the silver brocade or the brocade design is cut to where
it looks a little strange. Try and find one that shows the detailed silver
dragon on the cloth instead of just a small piece of it. Underneath the
Chinese jacket he is wearing a sleevless Tshirt, black wrist bands, and
very high waisted pants with the neatest belt. The little silver buckle
snaps open and shut like the buckle on a military belt and is so teeny
tiny....just the right size for this doll. How often do you see accessories
that are actually made the correct size? I think I would almost by this
doll just to get that belt!! Here are some pictures of the Chinese Tom.
