My First Swap Doll

Here is the swap doll I have made. The theme for the swap is Halloween. I have named this doll "Halloween Masque Ball".

She is a super model Naomi from the Takara Jenny line of dolls. Her hair is brown with streaks and doesn't show up well in the pictures as it caught the flash of the camera. I repainted her lips since they were a light brown color which didn't match the outfit that I made. Now they are a mauve pink.

The dress is made from an old silk kimono. I cut up the sleeve of the kimono and cut the pieces for the dress from certain parts of the design. The dress is strapless with an 8 gore skirt and is fully lined with material from the lining of the kimono.

The necklace and earrings I got at the Totoco store. The necklace had 5 beads on it which I didn't like because it hid the collar bones on the doll. So I took off two of the beads and used them for the hair accessory.

The mask is made from a laundry detergent box. I peeled off the top layer of the box, cut out the mask, painted it with acrylic black paint, added gold and red glitter and the feathers. The stick is a Japanese toothpick that is painted black.
