These fairy dolls are made out of a clay made from powdered rock with wire "bones". Each arm and leg has a thick wire in it and each finger has a smaller wire.

The hair is silk that I dyed. Each is painted with 4 layers of a mixture of acrylic paint, gesso, and modeling paste which is painted on and then sponged to give them their "skin".

This little girl fairy will be playing, holding a leaf up over her head.

The woman fairy will be looking up, holding a quartz crystal ball in one hand with the other raised..I wanted to give the idea that she was in the middle of doing some magic. The little girl fairy shown here will be facing the other girl fairy above and has her finger to her lips as if she is saying "Shhh".
